Stupid by Anne McCue

This is an excellent song from a collection of "Americana" music that I picked up some time ago. Unfortunately, I still don't have any other music from her. But I'll get some soon.

I tried to work up a "who's on first" routine with my daughter with this song. Something like

"What's the name of this song?"

"Its Stupid".

"Thats ok, I still want to know what it is."

"Stupid"

"Ok, but what's the name of the song?"

etc.

Dancing With Myself by Billy Idol

Classic new wave. I first heard this circa 1982 when a local Blacksburg, Va. band named "The Twist" covered it. They were a good band and this song was one of the reliable highlights of their set. Found out later that it was from an EP by Billy Idol.

I like Billy Idol and his version of "Mony, Mony" ranks as one of the great covers of all time.

Don't Pay the Ferryman by Chris Deburgh

This is an old '80s song performed on a CD full of Irish artists titled "Live for Ireland". This one is fun to listen to in the car because you can yell "Don't do it!!!" at the top of your lungs.
